Police have laid charges against the 46 year old Primary school teacher of Labasa who allegedly defiled a class eight student.
The teacher is facing one count of indecent assault and three counts of defilement charges.
He will appear in the Labasa Magistrate court tomorrow morning.
The teacher is alleged to have defiled the girl in his vehicle a number of times, as well as at the girl's residence when the parents were away at work.
The alleged incident happened between May and last month.
Earlier this month, the girl reported the matter to the Head teacher of the school, who then informed the parents and the Education office.
