A school teacher is in police custody for allegedly assaulting 26 students in Saqani, Vanua Levu last week.
Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the school teacher allegedly assaulted the 26 students with a hose pipe.
Sokomuri said their police officers are currently questioning the teacher.
Meanwhile Sokomuri said the matter was raised to the police by the parent of a student who was allegedly assaulted.
Charges are expected to be laid soon.
