Police are expected to lay charges against a school teacher by this afternoon who allegedly assaulted 26 students in the Northern Division last week.
Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that the teacher is being interrogated at the Savusavu Police station and is expected to be charged later in the day.
The teacher is alleged to have assaulted 26 students with a hose pipe in Saqani last week and the matter was reported to the police by a concerned parent.
