Taxi and bus fares have increased from this morning.
Taxi flag fall rates have increased to $1.50 from $1.00 in the day while the flag fall rate after 10pm is now $2.00. This follows the announcement of the now former Interim Minister for Transport Manu Korovulavula last Thursday.
Bus fares will increase by 10%
There are reports that some buses have already put notices up informing passengers that bus fares will increase by 5 cents for some stages.
