A 54-year-old taxi driver of Nabua, Suva is still in custody at the Ba Police Station for the alleged murder of his 47-year-old wife yesterday.
Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said the incident happened in Wailailai, Ba where the man allegedly stabbed his wife with a kitchen knife.
Naisoro said the two have been separated since August this year due to some marital problems and the victim had gone to Ba to visit relatives.
The 47-year-old woman was rushed to the Ba Mission Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
