The Public is being asked to be more truthful when they get into a taxi.
Fiji Taxi Union General Secretary Rishi Ram said this is following the trend by young people who often fool taxi drivers by taking them to a few houses away from their destination and then running away.
Ram said that people should realize that drivers are doing what they are doing to earn a living for their families and to meet day-to-day expenses.
He added that this is one of the reasons taxi drivers have become selective when picking passengers.
