The Fiji Taxi Union is expected to apply for another increase in the waiting charges in taxi fare.
Acting general secretary Shammi Kapoor said the increase given is 10 cents for every minute however he believes the charge should be 40 to 50 cents per minute.
He adds in a minute if there is no traffic and the road is in good condition they can travel upto 1km with the passenger.
According to Kapoor, current waiting charge is a loss for taxi operators.
He said by increasing waiting charge the passengers won't be wasting their time as well as saving their money.
