Concerned taxi drivers in Lautoka have raised concerns that they will not be able to get their meters recalibrated by this Saturday as they are facing problems with the LTA.
Fiji Taxi Union Lautoka Branch Secretary Abdul Munal said many of their members are being turned away from the LTA office because they have run out of lead which is used to seal the meters.
Munal says he is concerned because the deadline to have the meters adjusted ends this Saturday.
However an official from LTA's Lautoka office said yesterday they did run out of lead, but they managed to replenish their stock by getting more from their Nadi office.
