A 4 year old boy is admitted at the Labasa Hospital after he was hit by a taxi in Labasa town yesterday afternoon.
The victim was with his elder brother in town when he suddenly crossed the Labasa Market road and was hit by the taxi.
Police have questioned and released the driver.
Meanwhile, an 8 year old student is admitted in hospital after she was hit by a vehicle at Kalekana, Lami,on the Queens Highway yesterday afternoon. A 27 year old man was driving towards Suva when the victim suddenly ran across the road.
Police are calling on parents to be vigilant and to teach their children about road safety.
