The Land Transport Authority has raised serious concerns alleging that Taxi drivers and operators are deliberately trying to stall the collaboration of their taxi meters to the new flag fall rates.
According to LTA Spokesperson Eroni Volavola, despite their teams being out in the field in number, the response has been disappointing.
Volavola warned that any taxi found on the roads without collaborated meters from February 14th will be booked.
This comes after Fiji Taxi Union General Secretary Rishi Ram had earlier said that the LTA will not be able to collaborate all taxi meters before the deadline on February 13th.
