Police are looking for 3 people who robbed a 52 year old taxi driver in Colo-i-Suva yesterday afternoon.

According to Assistant Police Spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita, the suspects hired a taxi from Rodwell Rd and upon reaching Crest Chicken Road in Colo-i-Suva they stopped the taxi, assaulted the driver and pushed him out and drove the taxi away with the items.

The taxi is still missing and police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of the taxi.

Meanwhile, the Police Anti Money Laundering Unit has charged a 29-yr-old man for allegedly obtaining more than $93,000 using a forged document.

Corporal Tevita confirms the incident occurred between April and August 2005, when the the man allegedly forged a Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority cheque and obtained the money.

He has been charged with a count each of forgery, uttering forged documents and obtaining money on a forged document.

He is expected to appear in the Suva court today.
