The hunt is on for three men who robbed a 63 year old taxi driver, tied him up, dumped him at Colo-i-Suva and drove away with his taxi yesterday.
Assistant Police PRO Corporal Josaia Weicavu said the three hired the taxi to go to Namadi Heights from Suva and upon reaching lower Ragg Avenue, they forced the driver to the back seat, gagged him and drove the taxi to Colo-i-Suva where he was robbed of $300 and dumped near a slope.
The driver received some injuries and is currently recovering at home. The taxi registration LT 2433 is still missing and police fear it can be used in a major robbery.
