A team of detectives from Sigatoka, Nadi and Lautoka are hunting for people who are involved in the brutal murder of a taxi driver Mohammad Nasir of Cuvu Sigtoka.

Sigatoka Police have confirmed a post mortem will be conducted this morning after which the cause of death will be determined.

Police believe, robbery was the motive behind the murder as money and some other items are missing from the taxi.

According to detectives the taxi was found abandoned about 5 kilometers away from the place where his body was found in the bushes.

Meanwhile, police are also awaiting the post moterm report of a man whose body was found in the Nausori town early yesterday.

He has some visible injuries and police are also treating the case as murder.
