Farmers in the Tavua and Ba areas are concerned that not much feed for their livestock is left due to dry weather conditions.
Ba farmer Jain Kumar said he has toured many rural areas like Baravu in Ba and Tagitagi in Tavua over the past few weeks where the farmers are finding difficulty to provide their livestock with feed as the grass have dried up.
He also said many boreholes and wells have also dried up as people are dependent on Ba and other rivers for drinking water.
