The Tavua soccer team will come in the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants soccer tournament with a nothing to lose strategy.
The team has shown great depth in last few National soccer league matches and managed to beat teams like Nadi and drew against Suva.
Former Suva and Rewa coach, Kamal Swamy is also coaching the side and Tavua's style of play has also improved in its last outings.
Tavua is pooled with Defending Champions, Ba, Rewa, Labasa and Navua.
Coach, Kamal Swamy said sixty minutes soccer is such that if a team scores first they mostly manage to hold the score-line by defending, and Tavua is such a team that is expected to do the same in the upcoming tournament.
Tavua opens its BOG campaign against Labasa at 6.45pm next Thursday at Prince Charles Park.
Tavua has never won the BOG title, however have been runners up twice.
