Tavua District to highlight social-ills
Students of Tavua District have had to endure several challenges, seeing their parents struggle to make ends meet in the gold mining town and how financial problems, peer pressure and lack of opportunities has crept into their everyday lives.
Media Liaison Officer Torika Lewaca said based on their theme, "People Arise - The World is Dead", they hope the nation will stand up and recognize what is happening in individual communities around the country.
She said without action, our future generations could be lost.
Tonight in day two of Tadra Kahani, in the Junior Division will see Nabitu District School, Nakelo District School, Pacific Harbour Multi-Cultural School and Dilkusha Girls Primary.
In the Senior Division, Monfort Boys Town, RKS, Khalsa College, Tavua District, Cuvu College, Tavua College and St Vincent College.
