Tausala dalo production output is expected to fall from 500 tonnes to 150 tonnes within the next 3-6 months.
Agriculture Permanent Secretary Colonel Mason Smith said this is after Taveuni was badly affected after Cyclone Tomas and as a result the tausala dalo export market will record a drop in figures for the short term period.
Col Smith said they are now banking on other farming communities to help meet their export demands.
The Agriculture sector remains the most affected, with $49 million worth of damage, bulk of which is recorded in the Northern Division, in the province of Cakaudrove sustaining more than $41 million worth of damage to crops.
