Taskforce to seek divine intervention
Spokesperson for the Taskforce, Rosa Dalituicama said that the service will be held at Churchill park in Lautoka this afternoon, seeking divine assistance and blessing for their on-going operation.
Operation Kadivuka has been ongoing for the past seven weeks.
She added that the church service is open to the public and they are seeking blessing over the 120 Taskforce members.
Dalituicama reveals that the type of termites affecting Lautoka - Asian Subterranean Termite is the world's second most deadly termite known to infest and eat any untreated timber.
At the moment, a total of 662 houses have been infested with 16 Schools infested and 885 trees in Lautoka infested by termites.
Commissioner Western Joeli Cawaki had earlier confirmed that a shipment of chemical to be used on termites is expected to arrive from Brisbane next week.
