An average of two new cases are reported in a week to the Kadivuka Bio Security Taskforce.
Spokeswoman Rosa Dalituicama revealed this as the Taskforce enters its fifth month of operation.
Dalituicama said that with the recent use of the termitor dust and medicine from overseas, they have been able to halt the spread of infestation in the sugar city.
Close to 12,000 houses have been tested with more than 900 confirmed to be infested with termites.
