A taskforce team of the Lands and Mineral Resources Ministry is out to recover millions of dollars owed to the ministry as outstanding rental fees.
The Acting Director of Lands and Surveyor General Pasirio Samisoni said many tenants have not paid from the past 5 to 10 years in cities, towns and agricultural sector.
He said many tenants come up with excuses to not paying or avoid paying rentals.
Samisoni said if the accounts are not settled by the 31st of this month or the due date given to tenants, a cancellation of leases will follow.
