Digicel Fiji 7s Coach Iliesa Tanivula will unleash two of the fastest men in the 7s rugby code in the Digicel Suva International 7s which will kick off this afternoon at the tfl stadium.
After veteran winger Nasoni Roko got injured and was ruled out for six weeks, this three day tournament will be a chance for Tanivula to test Police rugby duo Waisale Beci and Josefata Bole.
Both players were key members of the Police 7s team that won the Suva 7s in Labasa.
After it was highlighted that the Fiji 7s team lacked speed in their last outing in Dubai and George, these two players can be the answers to what Tanivula prayers.
Tanivula said the Suva International 7s will allow him to pick the best 12 players for New Zealand 7s.
Another hot favourite, the Samoan Barbarians 7s team is using the tournament to try out some of the players who have been knocking on the door of selection to their national team for some time.
Coach Fa'amaoni Lalomilo said they have the players who should provide the platform to what they hope to achieve in the tournament.
Former national 7s Coach Waisale Serevi believes the tournament should provide his PNG side with what they want to achieve in the future adding his team is also here to learn more about the game.
The 2010 Suva International 7s kicks off at 4.40pm with PNG playing the Wardens.
