Tanivula to surprise many with his pick
Speaking on a talk back show last night on our sister station Viti FM, Tanivula revealed that we should expect some new faces to travel to Wellington and Las Vegas next week.
One of the key positions will be play maker where Mitieli Nacagilevu, Ilai Tinai and Peni Gaunimeke are all likely to be included in the team.
And while many have questioned in the past on whether Fiji has the speed on the wings with only Saimoni Nuku and Nasoni Roko, the coaching staff revealed that these two players will have to prove their worth today to be in the team.
The likely Fiji team - In the forwards, Jerry Burotu and Watisoni Votu will be the old hands while Apisai Nayabo is set for a recall while Nadroga trio Semesa Gonevou, Apisai Navoro and Nemani Nagusa are the front runners to be in the team.
Emosi Vucago and Kelemedi Bola will share the half back position with Nikola Matawalu facing New Zealand's travel sanctions as he is a Navy officer.
The Fiji 7s team will be named at 11am tomorrow and they are in Pool D in the New Zealand 7s with South Africa, Canada and France.
The New Zealand 7s in Wellington will kick off next Friday.
