Digicel Fiji 7s coach Iliesa Tanivula wants to continue with his winning record against his South African counterpart Paul Treu in the World Games.

Fiji goes in as defending champion but South Africa have been given the favourite tag to win the tournament after winning their first IRB 7s series in June.

Under the guidance of Tanivula, Fiji defeated South Africa twice in the Hong Kong and Scotland 7s but Treu's team only managed to beat Fiji in Australia.

With both teams likely to meet in the finals of the World Games, Tanivula said his boys are carrying the nation hopes with them and will not let the title slip away easily.

Fiji's opening pool game is against Hong Kong at 6pm on Friday.
