Tanivula likely to stick with winning combinationDigicel Fiji 7's coach Iliesa Tanivula is likely to stick to the same line-up that won the New Zealand 7's last Saturday in the opening pool game against USA, tomorrow morning.

Tanivula has been using the same set of players in most of their training runs in the past few days, with the rest of the players coming in as impact players.

In training yesterday, Tanivula used Pio Tuwai, Watisoni Votu and Jerry Burotu in the forwards.

Captain Emosi Vucago is at halfback, Jiuta Lutumailagi runs in at playmaker, with Osea Kolinisau in the rover position and Josefata Bole on the wing.

He used Setefano Cakau and Apisai Nayabo in the forwards as replacement players while Niumaia Cakacaka, William Ryder and Joeli Lutumailagi came in for the backline.

Meanwhile, Digicel Fiji 7s player William Ryder said they have really improved well after the win in Wellington last weekend, and they should also do well in Las Vegas this weekend.

Fiji has not won back-to-back tournaments in the IRB World 7s series, but Ryder said team spirit is high and if things go well, Fiji can lift the USA 7s title come Monday afternoon.

He said like Wellington, they need a good start in Las Vegas in all the pool games and then think about the knockout stages.

Fiji will play USA in their opening match tomorrow morning at 8:44am.

Then they face Canada at 11:50am and their final pool match will be against South Africa at 4:14pm.

Barring any upset, Fiji could meet either New Zealand or Australia in the Cup quarterfinal on Monday.
