Digicel Fiji 7's Coach Iliesa Tanivula is likely to opt for Jiuta Lutumailagi to be his first choice playmaker for the New Zealand 7's next weekend.

Lutumailagi was given the nod to start at playmaker ahead of William Ryder during crucial games in the Suva International 7's and the Nadroga lad did not let Tanivula down.

The playmaker berth has been one of the key positions where past coaches have failed to find someone really suitable to fill in the shoes left by former 7's wizard Waisale Serevi, while players like Ryder, Nasoni Roko, Peni Rokodiva Jnr, Lepani Nabuliwaqa and William Saukuru have been used in this position in the past IRB 7's series.

Tomorrow at Churchill Park in Lautoka, Tanivula will again get a chance to know whether Lutumailagi will be his answer to guide the Fiji 7's team backline when they take on USA in the curtain raiser to the Suva President and the Otago Highlanders Super 14 warm up.

The Fiji 7's and USA game will kick-off at 1pm in Lautoka.
