Telecom Fijiana coach Iliesa Tanivula is Ben Ryan’s understudy.
Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive Officer, Radrodro Tabualevu said part of Ryan’s contract is to prepare a local coach to replace him when his contract expires after the Rio Olympics next year.
Tabualevu added that they will need $3 million to prepare and send the national sevens team to the Rio Olympics next year.
He said he has been having talks with the Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou on the government’s role to assist the team on their quest to win the first ever possible gold medal for Fiji.
