Residents living in high areas of Tamavua and Delainavesi to Veisari are this morning facing water cuts.
Spokesperson for Water Department Maika Naqalu said one of the pumps at the Waimanu treatment plant has broken down which has caused low water levels at reservoirs.
He said there is not enough water in reservoirs due to less rain which has made matters worse.
He said water trucks are distributing water to affected areas.
Residents raised concern that no prior notice was given to them and Nagalu said they only came to know about the problem this morning.
There is no timeframe by when the water supply will normalise.
