A lot has been said about Setareki Tamanivalu’s future however the 22-year-old only has one thing in mind that is to play well in this year’s Super Rugby.
Speaking to Fijivillage from Hamilton Tamanivalu said he is trying hard to get a spot in the Chiefs starting line-up when they play their first game this season.
Tamanivalu who is the youngest in the family said his dreams are getting clearer now as he wants to wear the All Blacks jersey.
The 22-year-old won the ITM Cup Player of the Year Award and will dedicate his first game to his late sister who passed away a couple of years ago and his family back in Yasawa-i-Rara.
Tamanivalu is expected to compete with Charlie Ngatai, Tim Nanai‑Williams, Andrew Horrell and Sonny Bill Williams to get a starting spot.
Chiefs coach Dave Rennie said the big Fijian is determined to make a success of his promotion and has goals to force his way into the All Blacks.
The 2015 Super Rugby kicks off on the 13th of next month with the Crusaders taking on the Rebels.
