Taranaki midfield sensation, Setareki Tamanivalu is on the All Blacks radar for next year.

All Blacks coach, Steve Hansen has revealed more than a passing interest in the 22‑year‑old Fijian‑born player.

Hansen’s comments come after Tamanivalu guided Taranaki to their first NPC championship win on Saturday.

Even with veteran Ma’a Nonu recovering from a fractured forearm, Hansen has the ageless Conrad Smith, Malakai Fekitoa and Ryan Crotty as options on the November tour.

Hansen said there is one guy in particular in the ITM Cup who is been very good that they are pretty keen to watch through Super Rugby.

Tamanivalu has signed a contract with the Chiefs for the next season of Super Rugby.
