Talks are expected to be held between Bua speedster Rupeni Caucau and French based club Agen with regards to his release.

Speaking to Planet Rugby, Agen president Alain Tingaud said despite being told he is no longer part of Agen's plans, Fijian winger Caucau is still being paid by the French club and wants to resume playing.

A week ago, Caucau returned to Agen and was told that he was no longer needed however it has now emerged that he has not officially been fired by Agen.

Tingaud has admitted the Fijian international is still officially an employee of the club and they are discussing the terms of releasing him from his contract.

The club are also asking 150,000 Euros transfer fee from any club that would want to sign him, and by all accounts there are a couple of interested parties.

He revealed that since they do not want him to join another of their competitors, they will have to continue paying his salary, but stressed he will never play for Agen again.
