Talks Fruitful With Contact Group-Chaudhry
Forum Secretariat Officials confirm Chaudhry was scheduled to meet them tomorrow however after a request from Chaudhry, they managed to slot him in for breakfast.
However, speaking to Fijivillage News, Chaudhry said the group had requested a one on one meet with him and so it was arranged.
Chaudhry said talks were fruitful and it centered on the conducting of elections in 2009.
Chaudhry said there is also a scheduled meet with the Fiji Labour Party where he will also be present.
The Ministerial Contact Group comprising of the Foreign Ministers of Australia, NZ, PNG, Samoa, Tonga and Tuvalu met with Former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase at the Forum Secretariat in the last hour.
All scheduled meetings will be held at the Forum Secretariat with the Foreign Ministers to continue their meetings this afternoon with the Electoral Commission and Executives from Electoral Office, the National Federation Party and Former Opposition Leader Mick Beddoes.
