Vodafone Fiji 7s playmaker, Kitione Taliga is pushing hard for a spot in the Fiji 7's team to the Rio Olympics.
Taliga who won the DHL Impact Player of Vancouver 7s has been in outstanding form and has scored some crucial tries to give Fiji victory during the last World 7's series.
The former Ratu Navula College student scored a crucial try in the Cup quarter final against USA in the Vancouver 7's to secure a place in the semis for Fiji.
The 22-year-old from Dratabu village in Nadi has been in impressive form and has filled the vacuum several times at the playmaker’s position.
Taliga says he is doing his best to get a place for the trip to Rio.
Meanwhile, there is no major injury worry for lanky forward Pio Tuwai.
Fijivillage understands that Tuwai was taken to the hospital last night but was only following his review program on a minor injury.
Tuwai is still in contention for a spot in the Rio Olympics.
The final 13 players are expected to be announced on Saturday with the venue and time yet to be confirmed.
Fiji will take on Brazil in their first game at 4.30am on August 10th, they will then face Argentina at 9.30am before taking on USA at 4.30am on August 11th.
