Flying Fijians fullback and former national sevens playmaker Metuisela Talebula believes Fiji can bounce back despite their dismal performance in the Dubai and South Africa Sevens.
The 23-year-old said the players should take pride in wearing the national jumper.
Talebula added Fiji is still lacking speed out wide.
The New Zealand Sevens kicks off in Wellington this Friday with Fiji taking on Scotland at 1.50pm in its first pool match.
Fiji then takes on Australia at 4.46pm and the last pool match is against Portugal at 8.34pm.
