Takiveikata released on strict bail
After the charges were read to Ratu Inoke, Magistrate Semisi proceeded to grant him bail on the same conditions as the other nine men who pleaded not guilty to the same charges yesterday.
Ratu Inoke has been released on $1000 bail and ordered not to communicate with the other nine accused. He has also been told to provide a fixed address and not to change his place of residence.
He will also be under curfew from 7pm to 6am and has been ordered not to interfere with witnesses and to surrender his passport.
However, in addition to this, Magistrate Semisi also placed a reporting order on Ratu Inoke and he has to report at the Central Police station every Monday and Friday. He was also discharged from the hospital this morning.
The State yesterday dropped the charge of inciting mutiny against all the accused and Peceli Rinakama was discharged following a review of the evidence by the prosecution. The case has been adjourned to the 21st of next month for mention.
