The Suva High Court today gave more time to Naitasiri High Chief, Ratu Inoke Takiveikata to arrange an overseas counsel.

Takiveikata who is charged with inciting mutiny in 2000 has been given time till the 29th of January next year.

Takivaikata's lawyer Akuila Naco today told the High court that they have made contact with overseas lawyers but is waiting for confirmation.

High Court Judge Justice Justice Daniel Gounder than advised Takiveikata that he has to arrange a lawyer by 29th of January as he has been given ample time this year to arrange an overseas lawyer for himself.

It is alleged that on the 16th of April, 2000 and 24th of September, 2000, the Qaranivalu attempted to incite some people to commit a mutinous act in taking over the Queen Elizabeth Barracks.
