The Nadi Weather office continues to advice people living in low lying areas of South/Eastern Vitilevu and outer islands in the Eastern Division to take precautionary measure as there is possibility of localised flash flooding.

Director Nadi Weather Office Rajendra Prasad said island of Matuku received highest number 61mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours, followed by Ono-i-lau which had 40mm, Sigatoka has 23mm and for Eastern Vitilevu they had no records as the rain gauge is not working for some time.

According to Prasad strong winds gusting upto 35 knots is following the trough of low pressure which is moving towards East of the country. He also said rainfall could also bring in occasional heavy rainfall.

Mariners are advised to take precautions while going out to sea.
