Take heed of notice-Water Dept
Some of the areas affected in Nadi are: the Nadi Back road, Mulomulo, Togamasi, Maqania, Taci and Solovi.
Looking at Lautoka: Kashmir, Waiyavi, Banaras, Vomo Street and Tavakubu Road, Field 40 and Rifle Range, Simla and Saru back road.
Principal information officer Iliesa Sokia said while they do have water trucks on standby, they will only be sent out if the need arises.
He added members of the public can contact their office if they need assistance.
Meanwhile, Sokia clarified that the water rationing that is currently underway in Nadi and Lautoka is the last resort the Water Supply Department had to take.
He added people will experience a little discomfort, however, this is nothing compared to the bigger problem if water is cut indefinitely due to the huge leakage in the main pipe.
Sokia said the huge leak in their main trunk pipeline from Vaturu to Nagadro has seen them lose thousands of dollars.
The times water will be cut is from 9am to 2pm after which water will be restored once again until midnight and then back on at 3am the next morning.
