The Education Minister has expressed his disgust at the alleged indecent assault of two pre-school students by a 69 year old man in Suva on Sunday.

Filipe Bole said the high rate of indecent assault on children should send a warning to all parents to take extra care of their children.

He is calling on parents who love grog to cut down on the grog and social gatherings and spend quality time with their children.

Bole said the social issues plaguing the society needs to be openly discussed, children should be taught of the signs and preventative measures and they should be wary of people, who are overly affectionate and generous, luring kids with gifts and sweets.

Meanwhile, police are still investing the matter.

The alleged incident happened at a Kindergarten which the four and five year old girls attend and the suspect is the grandfather of the victim's classmate.

The man allegedly lured the victims with sweets.
