The resurgence of the two prominent Tailevu schools, QVS and RKS was evident in yesterday's quarter-finals after they dethroned rivals and top guns Suva Grammar school in the Under 19 grade.

Suva Grammar, the only school to field two teams to the quarters was hopeful that they would both advance to the semis but fell short of their game-plans.

Defending Deans trophy champions Lelean Memorial School proved too strong for their opponents Nakauvadra College thumping them 80-7.

In the first U-19 1/4 final new comers Lomawai Secondary School were unlucky to be beaten by Nasinu Secondary School 21-20.

Queen Victoria school thrashed Suva Grammar Two in the third 1/4 final by 26-3 and RKS thumped Suva Grammar One by 19-6.

The semifinals will be held at the Post Fiji stadium on 11 August.
