Namosi will now feature in the semifinals of the Digicel Cup after the FRU ruled against the Tailevu Rugby Union’s protest.
Tailevu President Maika Rainima received the decision this afternoon which also states that the Namosi player Silivenusi Gavidi has been suspended from playing rugby for 12 months.
Rainima added that if the player is suspended than that means the whole process is wrong.
Rainima added they will have to consult with their legal representatives.
When contacted this afternoon FRU games committee member Mosese Taga said the decision stands.
Fijivillage asked Taga if the player is suspended then it means that the Union should be held accountable but Taga said it’s the players’ decision to play for Namosi.
