Tailevu South has been the most improved franchise in this year's FMF Chow Kaji competition at Vodafone Subrail Park in Labasa.

For the first time ever, Tailevu South has qualified for all the semifinals from the under 9 to the under 14 grade with the Suva Blues.

Nasinu Warriors have also made most of the semifinals but missed out in the under 13 grade after losing their captain in the opening match on Tuesday, who broke his arm.

Also reaching today's semifinals are the Northland Bulls in the under 9, under 11 and under 13 grades, CBM Sharks in the under 13 and under 14 grades and the Ra Roosters in the under 12.

Tailevu South president Iliesa Bavai said he himself is surprised with the style of rugby his young brigade has played so far.
