The Tailevu Rugby Union is still awaiting confirmation from the FRU on their final decision in relation to the protest they lodged against Namosi.

President Maika Rainima confirms they received an email this morning from FRU stating that they are still awaiting confirmation from the games committee.

FRU Chief Operations Manager Vilikesa Rinavuaka said the final decision has been made and they are also waiting for the games committee.

Tailevu protested that one of the Namosi players was not eligible to play for them in the Digicel Cup competition as he has not been released by the Naitasiri Rugby Union.

Namosi is currently in fourth place with 35 points and has no more games in hand while Tailevu will need to beat Tavua this weekend, and hope the protest decision will go in their favor to qualify for the semifinal of the Digicel Cup.

The other three teams safely through to the semis are Suva, Nadroga and Nadi.
