Bau chief Ratu Veiwili Komaitai said chiefs of Tailevu will stick to the resolution passed in April during the Bose ni Vanua meeting that Tailevu Chiefs will not attend any meeting called by the Interim Government.

Speaking to Fivillage News, Komaitai said Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama should apologize to members of the Great Council Chiefs first before calling another council of chiefs meeting.

He belives that the only the chief of Tailevu that will be present at the meeting is Commodore Frank Bainimarama's chief, the Roko Tui Kiuva.

Meanwhile Cakaudrove chief, Ratu Talemo Ratakele has confirmed his attendance despite the fact that his high chief, the Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu has stated his intentions to boycott the meeting.

Ratu Talemo said, Ratu Naiqama did not call any Bose Vanua meeting for Cakaudrove Chiefs, to decide on whether those who received the invitation letter can attend the Bose ni Turaga meeting.

135 Chiefs from the 215 vanua have so far confirmed their participation in the two-day Bose ni Turaga meeting.

The agenda for the two day meeting includes the presentation from the Interim Government on the road map back to parliamentary democracy. There will also be presentations from the Fijian Affairs Board, Native Lands Commission, the Nadave School and the Health Ministry.
