Messages portrayed at Tadra Kahani, the Dream Story Stage Show, are very effective as these are student's views and opinions on issues that affect them.

These are the sentiments of Psychotherapist Selina Kuruleca, referring to Rishikul Sanatan College's theme "Suicide Prevention" and she said it reinforces the need to prevent suicide in our society since the children are already aware of it.

"I think the effect should be very positive because now in the Tadra Kahani performances we’re hearing from the students themselves what’s going and the factors that may lead to suicide and here in Fiji some factors that may lead to it. And in Fiji these factors are relationship problems, economic hardship, social difficulties in terms of the family, the society they live in and the inability to communicate."

Kuruleca added the angel shown during the performance was symbolic of professional and trusted people who could and should give advice to children when they have any problems and help them find solutions.

"I think the angel is the symbol of the professionals out there and the trusted adults who can assist if we – or people who are contemplating suicide – actually tell them what’s going on. If they’re having peer pressure, if they’re having alcohol problems, feeling unwanted or rejected, they need to say these things. Angels will only come if individuals say what’s going on and if the Angel makes observations – if the adults/counselors around these children see signs – then only can they intervene."

Meanwhile, Veiuto Primary School students said they have polished up on their moves and they are more than ready to reclaim what is theirs.
