Tadra Kahani – Where Children Express Themselves
These are the sentiments of Acting Chief Executive of Telecomm Fiji Limited Taito Tabaleka who was also at the three day event where a total of 19 schools took to the stage to show the over 9,000 people in attendance their dream stories.
Tabaleka said that sticking true to the company's commitment of "People Development", they came back again this year to sponsor the event with $30,000 and will continue to do so, adding such events should not be passed up.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Tabaleka said that the various messages that the children came up with, showed the struggles they are currently going through.
Meanwhile, a renowned environmental organization said we should all take heed of the messages being highlighted through the students' performances at Tadra Kahani last week.
WWF Communication Manager Ashwini Praba said the theme highlighted by Primary Division champions Nakelo District School on the need to save turtles should seriously be taken into consideration by everybody.
In the Primary Division, out of the nine schools that took part, first timers Nakelo District whose theme was "Threat to the Underwater World, Let’s Save Our Turtles", was crowned the new champions while, Rishikul Sanatan College with the theme, "Suicide Prevention - The Diary" were declared winners in the Secondary Division.
