Former Flying Fijians head coach Ilivasi Tabua will guide the Brisbane based Island Breeze team at the 2012 Uprising Fiji International 7s next weekend.

Tabua, who led Fiji to the quarter finals of the Rugby World Cup in 2007, lived for many years in Brisbane so he knows the players well.

This season, Island Breeze has already won the Townsville 7s and the Fiji Day 7s in Brisbane, and they were runners up at the Byron Bay 7s in Australia.

Team manager Waqa Baravilala said that the team has been in the country since last week to help run pre season clinics with the Ovalau Rugby Union.

Baravilala said most of the players are based in Brisbane, including Vanuatu national rep Kunro Kalo and they have also included two players from Ovalau Rugby - Sakiusa Naivalu and Sowani Saunitoga.
