Fiji 15's rugby coach Ilivasi Tabua believes the 2008 season will be good for Fiji rugby despite not winning any major events this season.

Tabua said their main focus for the new season will be to try to win the IRB Pacific Nations Cup, the IRB Pacific Rugby Cup and do better in the Under 20 Rugby World Cup in Wales.

He said they will also try to secure more overseas contracts for the local based players to ensure they gain more exposure in-time for the 2011 Rugby World Cup in France.

Meanwhile this season FMF Flying Fijians achieved their dream of playing in the quarterfinals at the Rugby World Cup. This was the tournament won by South Africa, who defeated England 15-6 in the final.
