The 2012 Super Rugby kicks-off tonight between the Blues and Crusaders in the 19 year old competition which started in 1993 known as the Super 10.

For Fiji’s most successful Rugby World Cup coach, Ilivasi Tabua he has a lot of memories about the early days of the Super 10 playing for the champion Queensland Reds outfit from 1993 to 1995.

Tabua won the Super 10 for Queensland in 1994 and 1995 in South Africa with players like John Eales, Tim Horan, Jason Little and Michael Lynagh in the team.

Tabua recalls playing against current Blues coach, Pat Lam, Crusaders mentor, Todd Blackadder, Highlanders coach, Jamie Joseph, Michael Foley for the Waratahs and current Reds coach, Ewen MKenzie.

As the Super 15 kicks-off with the Blues hosting the Crusaders, Tabua has put his money on the Red and Black team to have an edge over the star studded Blues side in Eden Park tonight.
