The people of Tabataba in Ba are calling on the government to help them by building a bridge across a river at the end of their road.

A resident said there is no Irish Crossing or Bridge to cross the river which is one of the major difficulties faced by the residents there.

He said people and children walk through the river to go to town and school however during the rainy season they find extreme difficulty in crossing the river.

He said many children have to miss school due to this and many take the risk of swimming across.

Meanwhile, the Public Works Department is looking into the matter before making any comments.
