Pacific Sprint King Banuve Tabakaucoro’s main aim is to make the 100 metres Olympic qualifying time when he runs in the Pacific Games.

The former Marist Brothers High School sprinter will need to run below 10.16 seconds in the 100 metres.

Tabakaucoro also said although his focus maybe on the Olympics, it will not be easy to defend his 100 metres and 200 metres titles at the Pacific Games.

His 200 metres personal best is 20.68 seconds while his main competitor Nelson Stone of PNG clocked 21.67 seconds which they recorded in the Oceania Championships this year.

Tabakaucoro will spearhead Team Fiji’s Athletics team to the Pacific Games in PNG which will be held from the 4th to the 18th of July.
